Frequently asked questions

  • What is soy wax?
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans.
  • What is the difference between soy wax and other candles?
The majority of candles sold on the market contain paraffin wax. Paraffin wax is made from petroleum (the same ingredients used to make oil and gas) and emit toxins and carcinogens. These candles also contain more soot, which pollutes the air.
  • Why isn't my candle smooth after burning?
It is not unusual for soy candles to have a rough top after burning. This is a natural occurrence with soy wax. This occurs because the hot wax is cooling at different rates of speed.
  • Can I reuse the candle jar?
Of course! We encourage the reuse of the containers. Simply soak the jar in hot water until the remaining wax has melted. Discard the wax and wick, and wipe the jar clean using rubbing alcohol and a paper towel.
